UPPER SECONDARY SCHOOL PACK ON SEA AND ENVIRONNEMENT RELATED PROFESSIONS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH CNRS AND THE FRENCH MARINE CLUSTER
The educational secondary school pack is available free of charge and upon request, in hard copy, for the teachers of the 4,500 upper secondary schools of Mainland and Overseas France. Developed in cooperation with the French Ministry of National Education and in partnership with the CNRS (French national scientific research centre) and the Maritime Cluster, its educational content focuses on maritime and environment-related careers.
Oceans are the breeding ground of extraordinary solutions for humanity. They offer immense possibilities and new opportunities as our planet feels the effects of economic, ecological and energy-related upheavals. The 10 educational cards of the upper secondary school pack also provide an insight into the threats to oceans, the impact of climate change or overfishing. Finally, it helps raise awareness of the importance of renewable marine energy or how our maritime heritage inspires innovation and research.
Upper secondary school pupils will discover maritime careers: future prospects such as studies, protection, sustainable management, innovation, initiatives at sea and on land are presented with passion. The required studies and the training locations are indicated for every career to provide interested pupils with pertinent information. The ocean offers boundless possibilities and career opportunities.
The teacher's book, offered in addition to the educational cards, features instructions allowing teachers to make full use of the upper secondary school pack as part of the curriculum of the French education system, and translate their knowledge into action by taking part in the participatory challenge for upper secondary schools (click here for more information).
